The opening of the branch was timed to coincide with the 783rd anniversary of the arrival of Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi and his family to Konya. Present for the event was the AKP Konya deputy Ayse Türkmeno?lu, the governor of Konya Mr. Aydin Nezih Do?an, mayor of Konya-Mr. Tahir Akyürek, the mayor of the Karatay District of Konya Province Mr. Mehmet Hançerli, and some of Hazrate Mevlâna’s descendants and muhibban-e Mevlevi

The opening program, which began with the pôst-neshîn Mustafa Holat’s gol-bâng (blessing prayer), then continued with the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony along with blessings for prosperity and ongoing success with the new branch.

The International Mevlana Foundation awarded Pôst-neshîn Mustafa Holat with a plaque for his generosity and benefaction.
